PLAYA SAN JUAN
Welcome to Tenerife's hidden gem

PLAYA SAN JUAN
Located in the municipality of Guia de Isora, Playa San Juan has a permanent residential population and offers shops, supermarkets, bars and an array of restaurants from local Spanish menus to specialist seafood eateries, Italian and French restaurants and everything in between. Fishing vessels come back to port early morning to offload their catch and supply the local restaurants. A vast selection of fresh fish and seafood is also available daily from the supermarkets and a charming farmers market is held in the village square every Wednesday.
Playa San Juan has a safe, protected beach with a secure 260m sea swimming area, enjoys walking promenades with pitches for petanque and outdoor exercise, walking paths stretching 10km along the coast, heading north to Los Gigantes . The temperate climate is very conducive for outdoor activities! The village is well served by the new motorway, frequent public buses, (and taxis) whether heading north along the coast or south towards Adeje, La Caleta, Playa de las Americas or Los Cristianos.
For the keen cyclists, a route up into the hills and the impressive Mount Teide, the third highest volcano in the world, starts just outside the village and one can enjoy food and coffee stops in the mountain villages en-route. A number of golf courses are within easy driving distance and are available to non-members, including the immaculate Abama Golf which is only a 5 minute drive.
